The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists some 13 Heck names buried in the Friedenstal RC cemetery #1012 at Fairview. Also Fred WAGNER, 1880 - 1939.
Other Heck's and Wagner's are in the Watehole cemetery #1011 and Transcripts of RC Registes #2230.

You can order death papers, however when ordering this you are given 2 options - the Certificate,
or a "Certified Photographic Print of the Registration of Death" which usually gives more information than that fancy Certificate.

Hi,

There is one other Wagner burial In that Friedenstal RC cemetery.
WAGNER, Solamene Nov 1859 - Sep 1929.
Fred is listed as plot 6 and Solomene as plot 5, but I think these must be row numbers. So this could be his mother.

Then also I found this,
WAGNER, Siegfried died 13 Sep 1939 age 59 yrs
in the the transcriptions of the RC Registers of Friedenstall.

Those are death transcriptions of the RC registers were done by members of the French Geneaolgy Society at Donnelly in that area. They also indexed births and marriages which are not on the AGS Master index. So you should check with them. I think they have a link on our AGS website.

Hi Sherry,

I'm just starting research on my Wagner side and they were from Alberta, was wondering if any relation to yours. I have very little on the Wagner Side. I do know that Nellie(think that was her first name could be wrong) had a brother named Charles.

Jacob Wagner married to Nellie Shade
had Harry Wagner he married Margaret Swenson of Montana

I have them in the Cardston area of Alberta about 1945

Thank you

Kris Wheeler

Fred Wagner (1881-1939) was my Great Grandfather. He was born in Russia to Anton Wagner and Salome (or Salomene) Heck. Anton (1855-1899) and Salome (1859-1928)were also born in Russia. I don't have any record of Salome's relatives, but I would imagine that she is the connection you are looking for.
