Did you know that your Albert Anton SMUHL applied for a homstead? His name appears on the "Canada National Archives" website. To find that site do a search on those 3 words. Then find the Dominian Land Grants.

He must have applied for 2 Quarters.
The North West Quarter of Section 6, and the North East Quarter of Section 5, Township 24, Range 1, West of the 4th Meridian. Only a few miles from the Saskatchewan border. You can also find an address to send away for copies of the documents for this. These documents gives some details about him including the yearly inspectors report.

He is the only SMUHL listed on the finding aids of the Alberta Genealogical Society and as you already know buried at Reno.
