Hi,
Had problems for months with my computer so sorry about delay. Yes, this is the same family. Alfred Henry was my partners Great Grand Uncle, in other words his Grandmother's Brother, she was Hellen Sim born 18th July 1873. Alfred's date of birth is 2nd February 1888 in Knockando, Moray. Her brothers George (killed in accident) and William were also in Canada, believe Medicine Hat at one time. Have lots more information if you want to contact privately. Regards Brenda

Saw your post by accident...doing some googling

Have you any information on the twin daughters of Alfred Henry Sim and Catherine Jeffrey?

These would be Marion welsh nee Sim and Catherine. I spoke with Marion about 1990 but wasn't into searching then.

Catherine Jeffrey was my great aunt. She was the sister of my grandfather James Jeffrey 1882. Grandfather Robert Jeffrey died at Marion's house on Hanna Road in 1943.

Must admit I don't have much info on Alfred & Catherine...just what's available online.

Is catherine the one who died around 1935 from MS?

Any information would be appreciated.

Victoria Thompson-Greig, Toronto

Alfred didn't marry until 1920, birth records are still covered by privacy laws after 1910.

Hi. My name is Heather and I am one of three granddaughters of Alfred Henry Sim. I would be very interested in connecting to other members of the family in Scotland. We live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where both Will and Alfred both lived for most of their lives. I just started looking up the family on Ancestry.ca and found the posting. We have photos and records of Alfred's and his twin daughters lives and we would love to share them. Please let me know.

Hi. I am Heather Welsh Rendulich. One of three daughters of Marion I. Sim Welsh. Catherine did not have MS, she had glaucoma and went blind early in the 20th century. Not sure what the exact date of blindness was but she lived until her 93rd year. I have fond memories of Grandma lacing our skates even when she couldn't see. Marion passed away on June 7, 2012 in her 92nd year and our Aunt Cay (Catherine) just passed away February 26, 2014 in her 94th year. I remember Mum getting the phone call and not understanding what you meant. I asked for your phone number at the time and she did not write it down. My sister Mavis and I are trying to reach out to any relatives on our Grandfather's side as well as anyone on our Grandmother's side. Please contact me as we are thinking of doing an all Scotland tour and connecting to as many relatives as possible. We would love to hear from anyone. Thanx
