Wow, I was surprised at how many email I rec. yesterday. This board didn't seem that *used*.

I will go this morning and photograph all the stones in the old section. Yesterdays pictures came out quite clear and readable...so my laziness will kick in and I will not transcribe each one. If you need a transcription, feel free to email me and I will go down (it is 5 minutes from home).

I will upload them directly to http://freegenealogycanada.com/rocky_mtn_house_cemetery.htm
but as it takes quite a bit to optimize each one for size, I will leave them as is, which means the page will take quite some time to download.....but I suppose if you want the info...worth waiting for :)

Jamie

I am interested in the Rasmussen family. Please tell me where this cemetary is. What does the RMH mean? My grandparents were Christian and Annie Rasmussen. They famed in Arborg Canada and might have died there. They were born in 1857 and 1863. These dates are approximations only. Thank you

Arborg is in Manitoba, RMH means Rocky Mountain House west of Red Deer Alberta.

The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists 8 Rasmussen names buried in the (RMH) Rocky Mountain House cemetery, including;

Christian Rasmussen, 1875 - 17 Dec 1956

You can order death papers, however when ordering this you are given 2 options - the Certificate,
or a "Certified Photographic Print of the Registration of Death" which usually gives more information than that fancy Certificate.

I can open the site ok but when I click on the any of those graves it dose not open that.

That Pine Grove cemetery at Rocky Mountain House has been recorded by members of the Alberta Genealogical Society, but is not online. What names were you looking for?
