thanks everybody for all your help. Lots of new information, I now know they emigrated to Canada in 1910, shame the children are not listed but at least I know they had children.

I have full details of his army record and a photo of him in uniform 1916.

Any suggestions to track children?

Gary

Hi Gary, The children do not seem to be mentioned in the Obituaries - not even as children of the deceased.
Perhaps they were no longer living ?

Might be a thought to post with the names of the children as on the 1911 Census.
Perhaps with the Surname, followed by the childrens names.
At least -there will be chance of finding some information.
Cheers, Stella

Hi Again Gary,
There appears to be one son in the 1911 Census.
Perhaps check online white pages directory 411.ca
for the surname? In Alberta - as well Nationwide.

Contact the Cemetery - where Edgar is buried. They will know the name of the Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The funeral home may take information required for the registration of death. They may also take information if an obituary was to be published.**they also take other information not required for the registration or Obituary.
eg.who arranged funeral, names of family members etc.
Cheers & Good Luck,
Stella
