Thanks for replaying.
I have to look more into these persons to verify if it is the correct Konrad. In 1921 he lives in St Paul Mn, sisnce that was his adress when he left Norway after visiting family.
He was not married in 1921.

I have discovered his brother Albert in Pondera County in Montana.

Information about Albert Elias Andersen

Albert was born at the norwegian island Radøy in Hordaland 15 Sep 1895. 24 Apr 1914 he emigrated from Bergen, Norway to Calgary. He traveled together with his brother Konrad b 1890.
Konrad emigrated in 1910, and has been back to wisit his family in 1914.

I have been told that Albert joined the Canadian Mountain Police. He was married to "Beda".

Later Albert moved to USA. All kind of information about Albert and Konrad are of interest.

Hi, You show a number of surnames, BAKER, HARRIS, WILSON, WALKUS, CUDDEFORD
How do they connect with your mother / with your research.

Who took your mother from her family in the early 1940's
Childrens services or
There has to be a record of your mother being removed from the family.
How old was she when taken from family aprox.
Your mother was adopted when she was aprox 2-3 years of age - Does she /you - have a copy of the adoption papers.

Have you/ your mother registered with Alberta Adoptees registry - perhaps her family has been searching for her - if she was the youngest - and there were 11 older siblings - it is possible.

I am looking for anyone that may know my Mom, she was taken from her family back in the early 1940's & was the youngest of 12 kids, the courts had to give her a birth-date & birth year because there is no record of her being born as she was brought into this world in the home of her parents. I have just joined ancestry.ca and I a trying to track down even more information on her.The Glenbow Museum here in Calgary has some archival information about her time as a member of the Legislative Assembly. Ernest Hetherington was my uncle. He had 6 siblings Thomas, Victoria , Jean,William ,Bruce[ my father] and James.
This mother was Margret Morton Barr and father was Edwin Ernest Hetherington. Grandfather Thomas Hetherington died 1913 Lumsden Sask.

It is understood he married Mabel Marie Rudell and they had 5 children but nothing else known.

Cemeery Office - may have informtion re name of the husband - he may have purchased the gravesite if still living. at the time.
Cemetery Office will know the name of the Funeral Home who may have taken some information.

I'm trying to locate a Bullock family from Calgary. They may have also lived in Edmonton prior to the 1960's.

The mother would have been Jean A. Bullock (nee Carruthers). She is buried in Queen's Park cemetery in Calgary - born 1925 and died 1975. I'm not exactly sure who her husband was - possibly a Leslie or a Richard Bullock?

If anyone knows this family, I would love to hear from you.

Dear Brian: We are the Emmerson Family in Calgary, Alberta, and my Husband says that his Dad, Leslie Hetherington Emmerson, lived in the Crows Nest Pass, and was a cousin of Allen Emmerson who is in Australia, and his Sister lives in Western Alberta, and when Doris died, he phoned her and she did not want to talk about any Geneology,
or anything else abt family. I do have some info on the Emmerson Line if you would like some it, it is available.

CALGARY BOARD of Education - should know about previous schools

Glenbow does have a reference to the school. Attendance etc - perhaps more ?

OGDEN WHISTLE
can be read online at Our Roots
Millican 1st school in Ogeden Alberta Built in 1912onland that is now the George Moss Park. 2 years laer it was moved to Millican. Move was done by 1 horse.

Page 44 Miss Sharp was replaced at Millican School by Miss J. ERROL 1916 to 1919
Miss BISHOP 1919
and 1921 by Miss Ethel Bruce who taght at Millican School and is fondly remembered
The Millican school was also the focal point of many community activities, Ratepayers assn. hel meetins etc

The School was replaced by Sherwood School wich was built in 1957 with an additon in 1959 als Elementary & high.
Perhaps Sherwood School would have a phto of the shcool that it replaced.

Historical Society for the area - may be helpful
Alberta Genealogical Society may be able to assist.

The school appears to have existed - There should be some record - photo somewhere.

The Glenbow has nothing as far as I can tell.

There is a local history book, "Ogden Whistle", but it says almost nothing at all about Millican.

Is there a special library there? I'd have expected just a branch of the Calgary public library.

I hadn't thought of the provincial archives. I'll give them a try

Provincial Archive of Alberta in Edmonton may have information - photo's
They hold Local History Books - Perhaps there is a Local History book for the area - many hold at least some photo's of schools.

Public Library for MILLICAN - OGDEN - may have historical / photo's information etc

Municipal Office - may be able to assist.

Thank you for these. The obit. for Phyllis with its obvious omission of Red is suggesting that maybe they were separated/divorced? maybe that hints that there was a third wife 'Mary' or 'Mory' as one on line biog. suggests?
