I do believe the O.E. Dahl being discussed here is the same individual who made wooden objects in the occupational shops while at the Colonel Belcher Hospital in Calgary. My father was the Chief of Staff at the Belcher in the 60's and he gave my mother a wooden rocking chair, with upholstered cushions for use as a sewing thread bobbins and needles storage object. It is about 10 inches tall, made of varnished fir plywood, and has a sticker on the back, " Souvenir of Calgary, O.E. Dahl, Col. Belcher Hosp." I still have this wonderful handcrafted article and If you would like pictures please send me an email : gorpet at shaw dot ca - gord H.
