The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists some 60 Batke names including;

Hazel BATKE, 1908 1979
Josie Belle BATKE, 1903 - 1979
Warren BATKE, 1906 - 10 May 1993
all buried next to each other in the Canrose Cemetery.

There are also several Batke burials in cemeteries at Bonnyville.

Hi, I was searching the internet and found this post. I was wondering who your grandparents were? I am a Batke. My grandparents were Owen and Josie Batke in Camrose. Just curious. Thanks. Peggy
