My G.Grandfather Magnus BROWN came to Canada in 1859, form Scotland to work for the HBC. He married 3 times. His last wife was Ann NORN (NORNE) All together he had 14 children. When he retired form the HBC after 40 yrs. of service they moved from the NWT to Athabasca AB. He died in 1924. I would love to hear from any decendants. I would love to share the info. I have. Hi Pat...as you know we have connected and found we are related. Just want to clarify the surname STAFTNER, my surname in Canada is spelled SAFTNER. In the US the spelling is SANFTNER and there are SANFTNERS currently living in Pueblo, Colorado that I am researching. Bye for now your new found cousin Debra
