You can search for your Page family in the 1906 Canada Census(Western Canada) and the 1911 Canadian Census ( All Provinces). These two indexed census results can be found on this site - http://automatedgenealogy.com/census06/

Both of these censuses occurred during the time that those Page family members lived in Canada. You can also view the year the individuals entered Canada by viewing the images of the census using the split screen feature.

If I had more detailed information, Names and birth dates of parents I could assist you better.

The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists some 20 BENEDICT names, most are burials in the Olds cemetery;

Hi,
I'm looking for information on my Great Great Grandfather ..PETER BENEDICT.
b. 1810 in Canada d. 14 Oct 1915 in Marinette Wisconsin at the age of 105.
He was the father of 22 children ..including 4 pairs of twins.(truthfully).
At the time of his death ..his eldest son was 78 yrs old..and his youngest child was 26 yrs old.
His daughter Fannie is my Great Grandmother..and all I know about her father is what is in his obit

My grand father was James Elliot Tippin, I believe he is Elizabeths brother. We just had a Tippin reunion at Harrison park in Owen sound.

Does anyone know of the Czsecho family who moved to Airdrie in the 50's? My information ( a tattered postcard! ) says they set down on main street, either number 634 or 834 I can't tell. They were a polish family, second generation who moved up from NJ, two children that I know of and one was a boy called Allan, he might be around 60 now!

I was born Bradford Lee Ferguson on October 21, 1952; in the Calgary General Hospital. My Mother, Elsie Belle Ferguson (born in Nobleford, Alberta) & Father, Norman Albert Lindwall (born in Lethbridge, Alberta) were not married but lived together for 12 years prior to my birth. They were 32 years old, which means they were born around 1920. My mother, of English decent, had 2 other childen older than myself, One is 7 years older and the other is 10 years older than myself.She was a housekeeper and she had 2 sisters and 1 brother who we believe was a firefighter. My father, who was also adopted, was of Danish decent and had 1 brother. He was musically inclined and was a construction worker/painter by trade.
At the time of my birth, Elsie Ferguson lived at Suite 503, Victoria Aparpatments in Calgary. She lived there from Sept 1948 to March/52 She lived also for a short time in Barones, then moved back to Calgary (442 - 3rd Ave, East in Calgary), then moved to Delacour Alberta then to 229 - 25th Ave. NE Calgary and after that for a short time in Airdrie. She lived at all of the above for no more than a month or two at any time.
My birth Father Norman Albert Dendwall lived at 3816 - 15St. SE. in Calgary at the time of my birth. According to the information I have, both parents were Morman at the time of my birth. My birth father was in the Army for 6 months.

I am 52 years old and would very much like to find any birth family. If anyone can help me or give me any ideas as to where to look, please email me at pentrax@telus.net

We believe we may be decendents. Our ancestor was William LACKEY, born Killowen Ireland, whose parents we believe are Holland Lecky & Elizabeth Daniel.

If you have any information, please let me know. She is my step sister and I miss her and she has a brother who wants to meet her. He was anly a few years old when we saw he last in 1989.

In England we have a web site ( 1837online.com ). We can trace births, marriages and deaths from 1837 onward and then order copies of the relevant certificates.

Is there a similar website in Canada? Can I trace people and obtain certificates?

My Great-Grandparents left England for Canada in 1906 returning in 1914.

Four children were born during this period, three of which died in infancy. Can I trace them?

John Page born / died
Florence Page born / died
Edith Page born / died
Samuel Page born / returned to UK

Unfortunately I have no idea what part of Canada they were living in and I appreciate it is a big country!

Can anyone help? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Stella; When I posted my query, I posted it to all boards so it should show up on a large number of boards including the Alberta board.

I have two Milford families and we can not determin where the Barr family fits in. I had a paper file sent to me regarding the Barr's but it is all just who married who, no locations. The original researcher has passed away so I don't know where she got her information from.

I have learned that my Wiker anc. name in Norway was actually Vika. They pronounce their V like it is W....hence when coming into America, it became Wiker. I do not have the name Christian in any of my records. Yours could be Viker in Norway. I knew that my gm was born in the Valdres Valley, which helped a lot. If that is the area your anc were from, you can get a lot of help from the Valdres Samband Lag. There are different Lags for all parts of Norway. I wish you happy searching. Donna

Thanks for your reply. The only Wiker's I have are Herman George Wiker, my grandfather who was Norwegian, and his father Christian Wiker. I cannot find any further information on them. Christian Wiker came from Norway, but I cannot find any info on him. He immigrated to the US around 1905 into the Oregon area, married in 1906 I believe and then immigrated to Canada in 1908 where they had the majority of their family. I would love to learn more. The naming was hard to understand for the Norwegians. I found info on his wife Gustava Tuftin and found a relative in Norway. Also found her father and family but nothing more on the Wiker's. I will look for more info and get back to you to let you know all that I have. I hope there is a connection as I have been looking for years.

Seeking information on my gr gr grandparents Thomas Boyd & his wife, Marjorie Alcorn. Thomas Boyd, son or Hugh Boyd & Catherine ? was b. 1795 in Donegal ?, Ireland. Thomas was a School Master. Marjorie Alcorn b. 1797, daughter of Thomas (?) Alcorn. Thomas & Marjorie, along with most of their 12 children, emigrated to NB, Canada. They sailed from Londonderry to Saint John in 1836/37 and landed at Saint John, NB, Canada. They settled at Boydsdale ( now known as Annidale), NB. Thomas taught school in both Kings & Queens County, NB. Thomas had 2 brothers Hugh & James that came out from Ireland before him. They had 2 cousins in Saint John, NB. Marjorie Alcorn may have had a sister, Flora, & a brother, Thomas.

Son of John Jackson West & Mary Sargeson. Children: 1. John lived & died in Harmony, Maine at age 82 or 92. 2. Minnie Edith West (my grandmother) b. 3 Sep 1891 in USA, d. 5 Dec 1916, Coles Island, NB. m. Thomas James Boyd. William had a sister, Elizabeth m. James Wilcox. Brother, Levi b. 1854 (mother, Mary, died after his birth) moved to the US, m. Mary Helen (Wilson)
Wills (a widow). Levi had one son, Frank West, 2 daughters, Carrie (West) Miller, Helen (West) Olds.
