My great grandmother's maiden name was Rebbi (Rebi). She lived in Smyrna, Turkey. Her name was Allegra. She was Sephardic. Did they come from Greece before living in Turkey, I don't know. I was always told that the families in Smyrna migrated from Spain during the Inquisition.
