I have an original letter written from what I believe is a mother to her son. The letter is dated Aug 9, 1902. Someone was only able to read a few words and I would like to know what exact language it is and what it says. This person believes one word was "Faris".
My GGrandparents had workers on the land in Darke County and it's most likely one of them was the recipient of this letter.
(Written in pencil is the name of a child in the family, Mary Martin.)

Does anyone recognize this language? Does anyone know where I can get help with this?
