Re: Looking for GOMAR Family.

I am also searching for some of the Gomar family. I am trying to see if I have any relatives in Guatemala.

My grandfather was from Guatemala City, his name was José Gomar, or his full name which is much longer, was José Umberto Maximilian Zacharias Gomar. He passed in 1978, when he was 68, and I was born in '87 so I never got the chance to meet him. He moved to Canada when he was younger and met my Grandmother.

He had a brother named Miguel Ángel and a sister named Rosita. I would imagine they have since passed or would be very old at this point in time. He moved to Canada when he was in his mid thirties and met my Grandmother, whose name was Elizabeth Gilbert (before they married).

It would be amazing if I could actually track down some relatives, so if anyone happens to know anything about them, or know that you had relatives with the same names, please feel free to contact me. hollyknudson55@gmail.com or you can contact my brother as well, Greg Knudson, he is on facebook, and also his email is rfxmedia@gmail.com

Sir!
My family claims to be the real decendents of Abu Suleman Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed Makhzoomi Quraish- the Sword of Allah.Although historians like late General Ali Ibrahim Akram have concluded that the linear geneology of Ba Bai Harb ( Father of Battles ) had ended but his elder son Abdullah had left behind at least two sons who sacrified their lives in Battle of Karbala with Imam Hussain.Their chidren migrated to Khurasan ( Afghanistan) then invaded Kurram Agency of present Pakistan and then attacked downwards toward Kohat,Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa,Pakistan.
We still live like a clan in District Kohat of Pakistan.
Important to note that the Sheikh had many wives. His eternal abode is in Hums,Syria.

Hi,
You had posted in 2006 about a Francisco/Van Wie family in Michigan. Their daughter Thelma Ellen married a Watson Dibble and they had a child by the name of Helen L Dibble. My aunt Lillian M, Roach married Elmer Smith in 1926. They had a child by the name of Margaret or Margaretha. On December 19, 1930 Elmer Smith married Thelma Ellen. Apparently both couples got divorces. I know nothing about my cousin. I don't know if she is alive or dead. Do you know any information about these people?
Thanks, Susan

Salam to ou all, I am also tracing my ancestry. I just know that my forefathers migrated from Makkah to India via Turkey and they were the direct descendents of Syedna Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique(RA). My grandfather D. Mohammed Abdul Jabbar's uncle was also doctor and medicine was in the family for generations. They settled in Muradabad, India first the spread into many other cities, they built up a small town called Gaderwara where they built a hospital, a graveyard, a mosque and converted many Hindus to Islam. My grandfathr's 2 other brothers were also doctors. His father was a sufi.

Does somebody know any link?

jazak Allah Khair

JAMES NICHOLLS worked in Saudi Arabia in 1940's

I am trying to find info on JAMES NICHOLLS born in Whitehaven, England 1902. He went out to South Africa with his family when young. It was said he ran away from home when he was about 15 and made his way to America. It is believed he married and lived in New York at one stage. He & his wife apparently lived in a high rise appartment and their baby apparently crawled out of the window and was killed. His wife never recovered from the shock.
He did visit his aged mother in Johannesburg in 1948 on his way from Saudi Arabia where he was apparently an engineer for an oil company to USA. I have found him on the New York passenger lists arriving on 4 May 1948. The lists show his last permanent address as Jeddeh, Saudi Arabia. They also show him as giving his final destination as NY. According to the lists he was apparently on his way to visit his son JAMES in the US Army at Fort Bragg, NC.
ANY info or leads on him (or his son James) would be much appreciated.

we also use the surname siddiqui our family originally belongs to a remote village in karnataka gulbarga district shorapur post timmapur village,my grand father shifted to hyderabad deccan in 1948 during police action as that place was the border of hyderabad state and india,i have been to the place it has no other family which uses siddiqui as surname the people there have strange surnames which they call as aadha naam, well something that prompted me to reply is my grandfathers grandfather name was soofi siddiqui so is thr any possibility of him being the same soofi sahab in the u r mentioning in the geneology and also ghulam rasool, ghulam ahmad and osman are some of the names of my granfathers brothers, may i know you are from which part of india.or where is this place ratnagir,

Hi manzarwqureshi,As-salamu -alaikum,

I am actually searching for 17th century of Madinah's political history. That is because, our fore father Muhammed Ibn Husain Siddiqui used to live in Medina during the end part of the 17th century and during that time a civil war had broken out and in that war, his every family member had died. Broken hearted, he had then left Madinah and had gone to India. He is a descendent of Sayedena Abu bakr Siddique (RA). But there are no traces if you know any links to any other sights or any information, please email me. I want to know why that civil war had broken out. Thanks

Sincerely

Munim Siddiqui
There are a number of entries on the main family tree where the compilers have had to end the branch to say - whereabouts unknown. As far as I know this document is from the early 90s

On behalf of my father ("Woody") who worked for the Arabian American Oil Company from 1949 until 1969 and who worked in Drilling Services and lived in Abqaiq, I am trying to find a co-worker and friend. His name was Hamid bin Najame and his family home was in Hofuf, Al Hasa Provnce in eastern Saudi Arabia. During the work week, Hamid lived in a community next to Abqaiq and then went home to Hofuf on his days off to be with his family. Hamid's Aramco identification or badge number was #12696. MY father would like to make contact with Hamid if alive or with his family if he has passed away. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
