I am looking for any info regarding theabove surnames.

My grandparents where Beshara Saleem Dayeh and Violette Dahdah - Married in Jaffa, Palestine. Their parents where
Salim Ibrahim Dayeh and Rugeeena Susu of Ramleh Palestine and Bundy Dahdah and Alexandria Buri of Jaffa Palestine. Prior to this all I know is that Ibrahim Oumeiha from Sae'ed Egypt (Coptin egyptian) had to leave Egypt and settled in palestine marrying a midwife- Sirrieh Dayeh and changing his name to Ibrahim Dayeh this was in approx the 1850's.
Any info or addresses to contact would be much appreciated.

My mother is a Dayeh and was born in Ramle in 1944. She is the daughter of Shukri Dayeh and Melia Zabaneh. They left Ramle in 1948 with the war. My aunt Nuha (Dayeh) married Elia Sousou. I live in Syracuse, NY USA now.

Hello Jad Dahdah,
The Dahdah's of Ramleh Palestine (none are left in Ramleh) originally came from Lebanon. There were two Dahdah men, Hanna and Nicola who were probably born in Lebanon btw 1800 - 1820, but could have been born in Palestine. It is unknown what their relationship to each other is, cousins or brothers? I am descended from this Hanna Dahdah. Elaine Kaye is descended from Nicola Dahdah.
Your post in reply to Elaine Kaye is interesting because it might mean that a Dahdah and/or a Dayeh of Ramleh moved back to Zgharta, Lebanon. What do you know about your grandfather, the husband of Nahil Dayeh. Could your Nahil Dayeh be the sister of Elaine Kaye's grandfather Beshara Saleem Dayeh, born in Al Ramleh, Palestine in 1913?

Hello Ramez,
I am curious about your Melia Zabaneh. My uncle George Dahdah married Mathilda Zabaneh in 1947 in Ramleh, Palestine. They named one of their sons Ramsey. I wonder what their relation is? Mathilda's father was Saleem Zabaneh.

Please check my Husbands family site Dahdah Family Tree see if any of the old Dahdahs are familiar.
I was told that the name came from Lebanon originally, the families separated to different part of the Middleast and across the world mostly to the Americas (Latin America). Sometimes you can recognize by photos a facial features as it happened with my family tree. We know that my Husband Edward dahdah has still family in the States mainly known in California, and also in Australia.
His family lived mainly in Jaffa and Haifa when they were young then on the 1948 upraising they were on holiday in lebanon with relatives and this is were they had to move on as they could not enter palestine. Edward was born in Alayroun lebanon, after him they moved to Jordan Amman, Jabal Husien area and stayed there till 1968 when they (all the family)slowly moved to Canada. We all now live in Ontario, Canada.
Yes the Dahdah Family is big and everywhere. Just like you we can only go so far as grandparents did mention dates and people by their full name, e.g. he was born on the first day it snowed in Alayroun it was before Christmas (Edward). Some of the churches and Mousques were thorn down therefore papers were hard to get,we met a Dahdah that is also Muslim living in Jordan, we simply had to keep asking other relatives, and I still am.
I would like to hear from you if this tree applies to your family too. So check it out!!!!

Regards,
Margaret Dahdah Bowman
