I'm researching ancestors from Hasroun and have come across a web site that says there are four main families in Hasroun (Assemani, Alafarita, Awad and Hawarina). There is a chart naming the four families, with a list of family names in each column. What exactly does this mean? The names Abdo, Abdou and Ishakk appear in the Alafarita column, but none of the people have an Alafarita last name.
Can someone explain this system to me?

I'm also seeking information on Abdoo and Ishakk families from Hasroun. They moved to the U.S. around 1910 and before.
