HAMAM FAMILY NAME

Does anyone know the origin of the Hamam name and perhaps have information on the tribe from which the name is derived? My Grandfather was born in 1879 in Akka, Syria.
I understand that the name originates from the Saiegh and Ablah tribes. If anyone has information or knows a source where I can obtain that information, it will be greatly appreciated!
Thank You!

Raimouny Family in Jordan is of French Decent?

A friend of Mine at the Sorbone University anthropology department has brought attention to me of the potential that Decendents of a French aristocratic family might be existing in Jordan in the Middle East, they are the members of the Raimouny family... appreciate any assistance to the validity of this tale or any relavent geneology tests. what I know is that they can be the decendents of the french Crusader Count Raymond IV de St. Giles, the Count of Toulouse and the Patriarch of Tripoli during the Crusader Rule of that region(aroung 500 years ago) sources tell me that there is now a village that holds his name in the north of Jordan pertaining to the place where it is said he was captured in the battle of Hitten when Saladin seized control of Jerusalem and Islamified the region again.

city of Jerash

I am searching for a possible connection? My surname is Jerasa. My family traces back to Slovenia....as far back as the mid 1700's. I have researched and found that the town of Jerash is also called Jerasa. Also Gerasa. I have not done much research in this direction. All of my research has been focused on Slovenia which is where the Jerasa name still thrives. If anyone can help please do!
