In response to your post, my great-grandfather was Moses Babian, similar to Babajan. He had 5 brothers and lived in the Urmia region. His daughter, my grandmother, lived in Shirabad, about 13 miles north of Urmia. One of his brothers, Gulaziz Babian, had children that came to the Chicago, IL area. I have been researching events during the time of the 1st and 2nd "Exoduses". My grandmother relates she was in both and made it to the Baquba refugee camp. After about 3 years in the camp, she was able to leave and eventually make her way to America.
