No problem Megan.
Since you have Austria.Poland how about a query on Galicia's Ancestry board !
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.ceeurope.histreg.galic...You might want to post on US states and county boards where your ancestor were living.
Have you tried the church they attended, had a funeral?
You do know that census and death certificate is the least reliable record to use for research.
Since you also have a Lithuanian surname than post a query on Lithuania's board.
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.scan-balt.lithuania/mb...What did your ancestors considered themselves to be? What religion?

...but I have other documents saying they are from Croatia,
another document indicating Austria (Poland),
another that indicates Hungarian, and
still another that indicates Lithuania/Russia.

Are you saying that for your BABICZ and GUDELIS ancestor you have records that says Croatia, Austria/Poland and Lithuania/Russia? How is that possible. No doubt all of those records are for your ancestor? You do know that we do not research on a surname, as a Slavic surname can show up in all Slavic countries but in that country's alphabet. Its it the location - place of birth that one starts the research.
