In order to establish a place of origin the most logical thing to do is to work from the present backwards. So you need to begin with current family and work back through, parents, grandparents, etc.

1) What are the given names of your ancestors?

2) What are Dates of Birth (DOB)?

2) Did the emigrate? If so where did they settle?

3) What are names of spouses and/or siblings?

4) What is their Date of Death (DOD)? Where did they pass?
