My great-grandmother Agata Drobnic was born and raised in a small town called Rakek. Rakek is about 20 miles from Ljubljana, which is currently the capital of Slovenia. She was courted by Frank Camlek. In 1904 Frank Camlek immigrated to Ohio and worked in a coal mine. He sent money to Agata to join him and they married in 1906 in Ohio. Soon after they moved to Granger, IA in 1914 where my grandfather Robert was born.
