My great-grandparents came to New Jersey via Ellis Island, originally from the shtetl of Chudnov in Zhitomir around 1900-1905. In New Jersey, they belonged to a vereign, or club, named the Chudnova KUV. My great grandfather's name was Hyman (Chaim) Kritzman, changed from something like Kritchker. My great grandmother was Gussie (Gitel) Holstein, possibly originally Goldstein, and she had a sister, Bronna, who came over with her. They also had a sister and brother who were twins, Rose and Louis, who went to Argentina. I'd appreciate any information about Chudnov, the Chudnova KUV, or these surnames.
Thanks.
