Someone answered my query on Jewish Gen that my great grandfather, Rabbi Avraham Karklinsky, was a rabbi in Elisawetgard (Kirovohradska. ) I don't know if he was THE rabbi of the main synagogue, or what his exact position was.

One photo is of him. The other is of him (3rd from left, bottom row) with a large group of men. I'm wondering who these men were and what the occasion was.

His family immigrated to Boston, name changed to Carlin,but he stayed behind and died there.
