I am researching the Kanter/Kantor/Cantor family from this area of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, formerly the Stanislawow region of Galicia, Austria-Hungary. It was a large family with many cousin-to-cousin marriages. Other family names included Hartman, Yahr (or Jahr), Rosenstrauss, and Rotenstreich. A large part of the family emigrated to the US about 1903-1910. Most of the family who remained were murdered during the Holocaust. The few survivors emigrated to Israel (and some ended up in Australia). Have much information, but still many gaps.
