My Grandfather, Dymtro Tkaczuk, born 1928, came to the US from Ukraine, during the 1940's. He was given the name Victor Tabor. He had a sister who died of lead poisoning at the age of 3 and a brother who committed suicide during WW2. My grandfather was taken from his family and put in a concentration camp, separating him from his family. He escaped and eventually made it to the US.

He finally settled in Cincinatti, OH. This is where he married Elizebeth Sherriden.
