I have been working on my family tree for some time now and have been reasonably successful finding information but now I have hit a brickwall and hoping someone will be able to help me break it down...

I am looking for the family of Leizer Alexandrowitz (Louis Alexander). He was my great great grandfather. I have most of his descendants, including the name of his wife, which was Rebecca. I am trying to find his parents and if he had any siblings, etc. Louis was born around 1856 and Rebecca in 1855, and aside from their children, I only know that they were from Borzna. I am aware of five children, all of whom came to the US so I am not even sure if there may have been others.

I have put away this part of my tree for a while and have come back to it, with only recently, finding a lot more about his children and their descendants. So if any of this sounds familiar to anyone, even if it is just Rebecca's maiden name, I would be most grateful!

PS I feel like I have gone to every possible website to look for them.
