"I have Hodel, Mohr and Budnick in my family. Hodels supposedly came from Switzerland. Their names were Appolonia and Louis ..."
There are death notices published in Milwaukee's German newspaper for both Appolonia and Louis Hodel. This kind of research isn't to everyone's taste, but it makes a nice connection to the world of our immigrant ancestors. The other kinds of clippings found in these papers would be death notices and an obit. w/photo for Mrs. Theresa Budnik (both Budnik & Budnick spellings are found in these papers). Lots of Mohr entries in a variety of spellings: Moohr Moore Moor. [I'm not connected to this family research]
