Sergei: Thank you for your response! Alexander was my father's name; his middle name was Eovich or Eovitch. He and his brothers were born in New York (1920); his father and mother came to NY during the revolution, from the Ukraine. Unfortunately I cannot remember his father's name (I did not know him as a child); I think it might have been John - but if this is the case, then he must have changed it when he arrived in New York, because John is obviously not a Russian/Ukrainian name. Perhaps it was Eovich (all my father's brothers had the same middle name, thus it must have been their father's first name). I'm not sure of the spelling.
