Can anyone tell me about the Mayor Ornig of Pttau in Slovenia back in the 1800's There is suppose to be a large monument made for him.

Mayor of Ptuj (Pettau) was Jožef Ornik (also spelled Josef Ornig). Born 1859, died 1925. He is considered to be the last "german" mayor of Ptuj. If I understand correctly, he is buried in a local cemetery (I guess that would be the monument you are refering to).
