I am researching the name Schneemann from the duchy of sleswig(old denmark), since 1864 now a part of germany.

I have a Margretha Schneemann nee Apmann nee Cornils, who was married to a Hermann Apmann. It appears that Hermann has died and Margretha along with two of her daughters ( dorthea and mathilda)appear in the danish census records in 1845 now married to August Schneemann with his children Carl Schneemann and Wilhelmine Schneemann.

It says that August Schneemann was born in Hanover, although all his children were born in Sleswig. They are in the area of Gottorp, Fredsricksborg sogn.
