My grandfather was Daniel Opincar. He lived in Youngstown, Ohio for most of his life, but I believe he was born in Romania. His mother, Marina, and sister, Mary and brother, John, and father ??? moved to the states when they were all very young. My great grandfather took a fourth son back to Romania and then sent for my great grandmother and the children. At the last moment, she refused to return and the family stayed in Ohio. My greatgrandfather and great uncle remained in Romania.
My grandfather died two years ago this month.He stayed in contact with his sister, but was somewhat estranged from his brother, John. He had a little contact with his brother's children, who remain in Romania (to our knowledge) but that communication tapered off.
My grandfather married Mary Arcaro, and they had four children: Daniel, Richard, Judy and Charlie. I am Judy's daughter -- I live in Arizona.
Richard has one son, Michael, who is married to Laura. They have one son, Andrew, and live in Indiana.
