My ancestors come from a village in what is now Northwestern Romania called Szinfalu ("Scheindorf" in German) My ancestors have been traced back to 1800 there, but I am looking for "lost links" to members that may have emigrated to the US or elsewhere. I am also searching for the original town my ancestors came from before moving to Scheindorf. The areas in Germany where they all came from where around Biberach and Ravensburg. I am trying to narrow this down a bit. Any info on the Merk, Man(c)z, E(h)rli, and Geng families is greatly appreciated.
