It may help if you give some details about your parents or grandparents, so that anyone who has information about the BANFI surname can maybe tell if you connect to the people they know of.

Knowing only your surname (since you give only your initials and I'm assuming you are Stan from your username) is not much to work on.

Also, when did your family emigrate to England? That may also help others to help you. If you don't know, follow your own line through your birth, your parents marriage and births, and so on backwards, to find out.
