I believe this was my father's father, likely born as Avram Lazarovici, and changed to Abe Klapper upon migration to the U.S. My name as a kid was "Klapper" but my father changed his and my names to "Lazzar" in honor of his Lazarovici ancestors. I'd like to find out more about his wife - I don't even have her maiden name and would like to find out her origin. I believe they were married in Philadephia.
