Judy, Your grandfather John Zikeli, who died in Alabama, is a cousin of mine. My greatgrandparents are also from Maldorf...their names were Andrew Konradt and Maria Zikeli Konradt. They immigrated to Homestead and Clairton, PA, and then moved to Cleveland, Ohio. For several years, I have entered the Maldorf and Hohndorf residents into my genealogy database....I have over 6,000 people from Maldorf and Hohndorf...and still working on people born before 1780.
