I am related to the Musat and Brescan famies, I believe born in Simbuta de Jos in the late 1800's. Do you have any information on either family?

Thank you for your email. Here is all the information I have. I do not KNOW if Iolomita is a village or a district.

Stefan Ene-Lucian, born (unknown date) in Lucian-Ialomita, Romania, died 1949 (believed political killing. We believe he was a farmer in Vulturul, Romania.

He married Maria Serban, born unknown date in Sarai, Romania and died in 1951 in Vulturul, Romania

We do know that they had six children:
Gheorghe born 29 June 1910 Constanza, Romania
Ion born 25 May 1912 or 1924 (confusion here)
Marioara born 1914
Boris born 12 March 1917
Maria born 1 December 1919
Aurelia born 14 May 1916 or 1922 (confusion here)

My wife does have a half brother in Bucharest, but she doesn't speak Romanian and their English is not good. They have not responded to questions about family history. I believe it is not of interest to them, or perhaps they do not know how to access the information.

We are interested to try to find out more about the career of her Father, Gheorghe and about her Grandparents and their parents and so on, back in time.....names, dates, locations and one day we will go to Romania and see these places of her history

Thank you for your offer of help!

Chris Langley
Vancouver

Do you have any idea about the name of the village where her grandfather was born? many old villages were destroyed in the war, but some of them survived. And "ene" is a common name, often used so if you have some details.. anyway, i am not saying i can help, but i would try.

I am looking for anyone who can help me identify and track the ENE family. My wife's grandfather, Stefan Ene (maybe Ene-Lucian?)was born in Ialomita, presumably between 1880 and 1890.
We have no knowledge of the records system in Romania and no language skills to explore. Any help would be gladly received.

Hello,

I live in NC and my mom was originally from Ialomita. My ancestors' last names in Ialomita were: Sutu and Georgescu (comuna Poiana).

All I can tell you is that Mykytiuk is not a Romanian name. It could be Turkish, Macedonian, Russian, etc. I still have relatives in Ialomita. If you have more info e-mail me. You could look up the Romanian White Pages and see if there are similar names.
