Hello Scott,
I don't know how much Janos helped you with you family research, or how much of the Bogoz records he had photographed when you were corresponding, but he recently helped me quite a bit with my family's Hungarian line.
One of my family lines trace back to several Csomor's in Bogoz back in the late 1700's and early 1800's, then my line of that family moved to Nagygalambfalva and stayed there until 1905-07 when great grandfather Denes Csomor came to the Chicago area, worked for a while, then returned and brought his wife Lidi and children to the U.S. in 1913.
The oldest ancestor I know of on this line is Jozsef Csomor in Bogoz between about 1775 and 1812. We may be distant relatives.
Have you submitted your genome to Ancestry or 23andme? I'm in both databases, so you should show up as a relative, but I haven't seen that.
