As I mentioned to Susie, my Great Grand father, back in the 1920's was called George Georgiou and he was born and raised in Galati. He was a doctor and at the age of around 25-30 moved to Izmir. He died in 1922 in the Asia Minor Catastrophe. My great-grand mother moved to Romania with her new-born baby, stayed a while there and then, came back to Greece.
