I am related to the Denz family of Steirdorf. Maria Denz was my great grandmother who came to America at in the early part of the last century. We are not sure about the circumstances, because apparently she came back and forth, based on Ellis Island records. My grandfather, Carl Denz is from Steierdorf and was baptized at the Catholic church there. It is a long story, but for reasons we do not know our elders would not share information about their lives in Europe. We are trying to piece things together. Our great grandfather, also a Carl Denz was not heard from after WW2. Our family sent him care packages through the red cross but lost touch with him. We would like to know where he is buried. We are also related to Otto Denz. But we do not know how exactly. Any information on our family or suggestions on where to begin would be appreciated. We would like to visit Steierdorf, attend mass there, meet any relatives if possible. Thank you
