I am married to Leonas Alterescu from Bacau who immigrated to Israel on 1951 to join his brother Benjamin-zeev. my husband was born on 1925 to Yancu Alterescu. His grandfather's and grandmether's names were Benjamin Zeev and Betty, who lived in Plopana and later moved tp Bucarest.
My husband doesn't remeber a family member whose name was Bernard, but maybe there were more Alterescu in Bacau.
most of the Alterscu brothers lived in Bucarest.
