http://www.banaters.com/banat/bigmapTestv1.asp is a link to a map online that shows your town of interest is on the road between my own two towns of primary interest! (See C9 square on map). Very very interesting. My great-grandfather (Anton PFAU) was from Pancota (Pankota) and my great-grandmother (Eva PLENNERT) was from Neupanat. They met and married in Oregon.

I see there are some RENTZ folk in the cemetery I just visited this week-end (see http://www.orangeclouds.net/cemeteries/cem-sacredheart.html ) I don't know if those are your relatives or not. There were quite a number of the Germans from the BANAT region that settled in Marion County Oregon. I'm not sure why they came there or who came first at this point. It is a point of strong interest to me, if only I had time to follow it up! <Grin>
