Thank you for the response. I found a cousin who has visited Pankota. He says there are no local records remaining. Thank you for the information tho.

My family were of German ancestry and migrated to America between 1904-1910. I do not know if any remained behind.
I do know they spoke German, not Hungarian or Romanian.
