Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find records of ancestors on the island of Lesvos. I'm also trying to find information from what is now Edremit in Turkey, but was Greece when my ancestors were living there pre-1918. The specific people I am looking for information for are Stefanos Achilleos Makris (b. 27 September 1889 in Edremit, Turkey) and his wife, Phelxiope Salatelis (b. 1896 in Mytillini, Lesvos). Stefanos fought for Greece in the war against the Turks if there are records of those soldiers. Any help at all would be appreciated!
