Hello,
I was wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light on this undated old engagement photo from Messinia I found. I'm trying to determine a date for it - my guess is sometime between 1910 and 1918, but I would like to narrow it down further. I think the man's Western style clothes should be able to give a clue.
Also, is there any way to tell if the woman seated is a widow? Because only the mother of the bride is in the picture, but not the father, I assume the father has died. It also seems that the seated woman is wearing the traditional clothing of a widow.
Does anyone have any ideas?
