Cyndi, since your message is a few years old, I do hope we can still connect. I have found out a little about Theodore Georges, who was my grandfather. He died a few months before I was born and my father would not speak of him much, but I asked my mother decades ago about family members and got a tiny bit and have found a bit on Ancestry.
My father was John Theodore, the oldest of the three. My mother told me decades ago that Theodore's original name was Souvadjoglous, I kid you not! My grandmother told us that he had business interests in Mexico and Canada and on On Ancestry I have found numerous border crossings. On two of the border crossing records that he filled out Theodore Georges has signed alias Sokratis Souvadjoglous.
He either came here before Ellis Island was established or may have come through Canada. I fou d that he did have a cousin in Canada.
My mother said he had a candy store in Salina Kansas, which was our home first. Somewhere there is a photo of my father holding a box if candy that was used as an ad for the store. My dad was 2 or 3 in the photo. I mean to search for the photos that I remember having seen and are probably at my sister's house now. I do have a copy of a photo of Theodore.
My uncle Bob told us that when Theodore was about nine years old he was standing on the steps of the Parthenon in Athens with two aunts who were arguing over which one would take him as he had been orphaned. My mother told us there was a sister too, but whether she was older or younger I never heard.
I have a few other anecdotes, but I am curious as to why you are looking for info on him. Are you a relative?
My name is Mickie Musselman and I live in Rhode Island.
