My Grandparents migrated from Rhodes Greece in 1950 and 1952 to Australia. My grandfather is 87 years old and his name is George Petalas (Hatzimichael) born in Kos and my grandmother was Sofia Miritis (Papanicholau) born in Myra now Turkey she migrated to Rhodes in 1922. I am trying to find any information I can about them and further back. My great grandmother was called Ekaterina and she had a daughter Aryiroula who drowned on an Italian ship we think called the Fiume outside of Rhodes. We are trying to find a photograph of her and details of the ship bombing.
Any information would be great.
