You will find the first "Petrolekas" were born after around 1880 and their children carry the name.
If you check the Obituaries, you will find a person whose fathers name was Petros Lekas and he changed his name to Petrolekas (his siblings continued the name Lekas).
The fact that some individuals with that name exist in Peloponnese is easy to explain. Christian Albanians were employed as Soldiers of Fortune in the 15th century in and around Mistra. These families later moved to neighbouring islands Ydra, Spetze and Psara. Some of them are well known Greek Revolution heroes.
Lekas (Lecca) is a very old name from memory it is a village (Metochi) in Northern Ypiros some where called Lecca. The family also exists in Italy.
Just because a name exists today and can be found in a telephone book that does not mean it is a "Real" old name.
Anyway, with todays technology it is easy to settle issues like this. A DNA test, will easily prove me wrong.
