My grandfather Nikola Alexandroff came over from Bulgaria. I have his birth certificate translated into English but we have no further information. A complication is that Alexnadroff isn't his real name - it's his stepfather's name. His real last name is Nanchev. Also, the birth certificate doesn't seem to list his mother's last name.
