The only information listed on the Ellis Island records for my family lists Chorlin, Russia. My great-great-grandparents and their children came from there. I have also found another family who has someone with the same last name as my great-great-grandmother, they have relatives that came from Chorlin, Russia, but they are from Brazil and I don't understand Portuguese.
