Have information on the Rozin Family while in Russia prior to 1910. My Great Grandfather, Sargey Alexandrovitch Rosin, migrated from Russia to the States on December 17, 1910. To be allowed to marry, and to leave Russia, he had to adopt the Orthodox Religon, which he did by permission of the Bishop of Vologda, Totem Nikon, on April 17, 1910. He received the Orthodox Name, Sargei Aleksandrovich Rozin, but changed it to Sargey Alexandrovitch Rosin, after entering the States. Prior to Sargei arriving in Voznesenie, Nikolski district, Province of Vologda, on October 1, 1908, for a Police charge of being out of his shettl without permission and also being associated with the RSDRP, Sargei resided in the town of Chausy, Mogilev province, and was know by his birth name, Zalman Shenderovich Rozin. Zalman Rozin was born, May 09, 1888 / 1889, in the town of Chirikov, Mogilev province, to Shender Khaimovich Rozin and Rozina, Vita Meerovna. Prior to 1908, Zalman and his Father, Shender Rozin, were Metal Turners by Trade in the town of Chirikov. Father, Shender Khaimovich Rozin, was deceased by 1908, and Shender's Father is believed to be Khaim Rozin. After 1908, Mother, Rozina, Vita Meerovna, resides in the town of Chausy, Mogilev province. She owns Her own Home along with a Grocer's shop. Living with her are four Daughters, Vera, Tuba, Zita, and Esterika Rozin. An additional Daughter resides in the city of Baku, and is in the professional trade as a Dressmaker. Currently, this is about all the info I have on the Rozin Family in Russia. I do not know who the Daughters became married to nor if anyone survIved WWII. I'd appreciate any infomation or suggestions others might have!
