I am still looking for help in finding out about Athena (maiden name Checkov/Checky and Petros Gioros of Darda/Dardhe. Their son Sotirios Gioros is my husband's grandfather. Here is his birth and death information:

Sotirios Petros Gioros/ Samuel Peter Gioro
Birth 23 Apr 1902 in Gjirokaster, Epirus, Albania
Death 27 Dec 1950 in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, USA

Anyone know of Gioros or Checkov family in Darda/Dardhe or Gjirokaster, Epirus, Albania? I'd like to find information on Sotirios birth in Gjirokaster or also his parents death or other family in the area.
